January is almost over and it has been a very trying time for me. I am struggling to get my stamping mojo back. It is coming slowly; however I appreciate the ladies who join in on this blog hop, They truly inspire me! I just saw a reminder that the submission for our blogs was only a few hours away and I thought to myself: “Self get up off the couch and see what pops in your head”. The theme is something from the Occasions Catalog and the Annual Catalog paired together. One of my favorite stamp sets from the Occasions Catalog is the Wonderful Romance Stamp Set and the Wonderful Flowers Thinlit Dies. These can be purchased as a bundle and I love saving money. This was one of the first sets that I ordered from Occasions 2019.

The vibrant background is Highland Heather and I decided to stamp the flowers on watercolor paper. Thinking the softness of watercolor will add another layer of colors. I stamped in Soft Suede Ink and used alchol blending markers called Stampin Blends. I treated my acrylic block as a palette and colored light Old Olive and dark Old Olive. I keep one set of my Aqua Painters filled with alcohol and decided on that option. I love how subtle these colors went down.

I used the Highland Heather blends with the alcohol aqua painter again. I also went over the top of the flowers with the pen tip to darken it in spots.
I cut out the flower bouquet with the thinlit dies. They do a fantastic job!
For my card base I cut a 8 1/2″ X 11″ piece of Highland Heather cardstock, cut at 4 1/4″ and folded in the center mark (5 1/2″).
I used the lattice with leaves thinlit die on Whisper White cardstock. After I cut it out I decided to use the Tufted Dynamic Embossing folder on the area that does not have the lattice. I sponged this area lightly with Crumb Cake ink just to give it some accents.
I added a piece of the Silver Mini Sequin trim at the bottom portion and wrapped it around to the back then adhered the Whisper White piece to the front of the card. The bouquet was adhered with Dimensionals toward the bottom half of the front.
I looked at the sentiment on this stamp set and decided to make this a Thinking of You card. I used Versamark stamp pad and silver heat enbossing powder. I used the Embossing buddy first so I wouldnt have smudges from my fingers. Every time I use this embossing powder Im awstruck like a child as the powder melts into the cardstock and creates “silver”.
I used the Tailored Tag punch for the shape and adhered with Dimensionals.
The Pearls were added to each flower center.

I have enjoyed making this card and I think my mojo may be coming back!
