Thanks for stopping by on the August 2018 North Carolina Demo’s Blog Hop. The theme this month is Don’t Be Afraid To Sparkle.I love all things sparkly so Stampin Up is a perfect fit for me. There are so many different ways to add sparkle using Stampin Up materials. This month a chose a few of my favorites to incorporate in a fall card.
I started this card by making the background using watercolor paper and BRUSHO. I love this stuff, it’s hard for me to stop once I get the pigment flakes and a spray bottle filled with water out on my work surface. It is a little messy but Oh the results! The Brusho I used on this is Mossy Green, Gamboge, and Yellow. A few spritzes of water and off I go… the hardest part is letting it dry thoroughly before using it on a card. I did tape the watercolor paper to a foam board, that kept it flat and when the piece was dry I removed the tape (carefully and at a slight angle) that created a nice little border. One of the things that I think sets cards apart is multi layers. It creates greater impact.
Next I got out my Petals and More Thinlit Dies and some Old Olive Cardstock to cut out the sprig with small leaves. I also used the Seasonal Layers Thinlit Dies on Glimmer Paper. I used my Old Olive Stamp and Write Marker to color the Old Olive leaves and Copper for the others. I used Dimensionals to pop the up on my card front.
Next I heat embossed the Happy Harvest Blessings saying from the Country home Stamp Set. The copper embossing powder is stunning! I used the Everyday Label Punch to create the rounded ends
Last but not least I adhered all to a 5 1/4″ X 4″ piece of Old Olive Cardstock and then adhered all to the front of a Whisper White A2 card.
Wallah…card complete!

Fall…my favorite season! I love your card and all the sparkle. And I agree, Brusho’s are such a cool technique, but it does require patience for the drying. You made a fabulous card!
