Time just goes too fast. Hard to beleive August is almost over and September is just around the corner. I am joining my fellow N C Stampin Up Demonstrators on this months Blog Hop. We were asked to use a floral piece as our inspiration. I did’nt have to go far. My front porch has two beauetful pots. I chose the colors in these pots based on colors I am attracted to and I like to go with something new each year. This spring I saw a basket that had two shades of purple and a coral color combination. It really caught my eye. It has been a very hot month here and they are not looking as good as earlier but I still love them.
You can barely see the coral color peeking out from behind, but it’s there. There is also a silver colored foliage.
I started with the Bloom and Grow Stamp Set. I stamped the longer floral piece with momento ink on Whisper White Cardstock. I then colored using my Stampin Blends Aldhol Markers so I could shade the various flowers and leaves. I used the coordinating die set, Budding Blooms to cut out the floral spray.
I applied Basic Black cardstock on the front of a standard A2 size card. I then used a scrap piece of Whisper White to stamp the sentiment in Highland Heather. I placed this in the center of the card and arranges the two floraal sprays at the top and bottom using Dimensionals. I added silver glimmer paper using the twig punch, just to add some bling and to represent the silver foliage in the flower pot.
I enjoy the seasons and as much as I hate to see summer go, I am super excited with the new Holiday Catalog that will be going live Sept. 4th. As a demonstrator i have the ability to preorder from our catalogs and I have already begun playing with the new products.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Happy Stampin’
